I was having so much trouble trying to fix this wifi issue and had no luck, so I finally called sprint and they are sending me a refurbished phone. Funny thing is that since switching my router to "G" only, mine is a Belkin Dual band N router, I haven't lost connection once.
When I get the refurbished replacement phone in the mail can I just send that refurbished phone back, or do I now HAVE to send my phone back? Just curious if anyone has ever had this problem. I don't even want to open it, and would rather just send it right back.
Also, has anyone had any success keeping a stable connection on a dual band router? The specs of the phone say it is supposed to work on all four bands a, g, n, and I think the last is d.
HTC rep told me that the copper looking things that surround the back of the plastic back to our phone, which is the wifi antennas, can be damaged pretty easily or can ship defective. I am just curious if each of those copper markings are each for an individual wifi setting and maybe one of mine is damaged or is this phone only capable of working on the G only setting?
