Sprint/Samsung issuing ICS fix!

I have never updated to ICs due to all the horrible stories. Looks like I won't in the near future. Can anyone tell me how to disable the update now notices ?
Thanks . I have never had any problems with Gingerbread, and have great battery life. Gps works well 99 percent of the time. I wonder if there are any differences between the white and black phone / I have a white.

I have also had the same battery issue on the Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile after the ICS update. Talked to a rep at a outlet he said he was aware of the problem personal but did not know if samsung was aware, also recently about one month after the update the phone will shut itself off. Is anyone having the second issue?

Yes my phone has randomly restarted sua sponte post-update but not often enough to be an issue. Plus Sprint claims the Washington DC network is getting "upgraded" so that may somehow be a contributing factor.
