Sprint text message issue

I have this on-going issue with text message. I am Android all the way. I have a Note 4 (waiting on the Note 8). I am not receiving text messages from iPhone users. The text messages come when they want to. This has been an going on since April of 2016. My phone has been restore lately within the past month. It was repaired at Samsung, and everything was working fine. Now it's doing the same thing. My text messages are not all coming through. So I have been using Google Voice.

Messaging app settings has checkboxes for roaming retrieve, auto-retrieve. Perhaps look at those.

I had similar issues on older Android, including a Samsung. In particular I couldn't get mms messages reliably, usually coming from an iphone. My mobile provider at the time was Credo mobile ( Sprint network ) and they walked me through some steps to address it. don't remember details. Now on t-mobile mostly no issues.
