This is the Sprint HTC Evo forum, so I thought I'd ask what everyones experiences are with coverage and their new Evos. I live in the Tulsa OK area and basically my phone is unuseable as a phone. I'm having non stop dropped calls, call disconnects before and shortly after I answer, etc. Thankfully I have a work cell phone that I can use without problems.

Sprint is basically a big black hole void of information, they wont disclose anything other than the towers could be being upgraded thus my connectivity problems. It is so bad and has been going on during the final couple of months with my old Evo, I'm considering breaking contract and going with Verizon.

Your experiences? The Sprint forums are loaded with people all over the country with miserable connection problems similar to mine.

I live in Chicago, so my connection problems are a non-issue. The real problem here is network congestion. Something that I believe will be solved when the new Network Vision towers go live in September/ December 2012.

I live in Pennsylvania and the service is bearable here.I keep hearing better days are coming soon, I'm trying to be optimistic and hoping that sooner I will have lightning speeds. I too have had an occasional dropped call, but to be totally honest I also had them with verizion as well, before I split. Sprints customer service, pricing and phone selection along with unlimited data keeps me with them.:D

Hi, I live in Central MA and have had pretty good service, the phone seems to do a good job of not dropping calls too when moving into roaming. Hope this helps

Maine here. I don't use the phone that much, but so far as long as I'm outside or near a window my reception holds. I do sometimes get shoddy data connectivity in certain spots, but it's usually the same places. All in all, it works for me in the places I use it, so I have no major complaints.

Except for randomly some text messages won't go through until I reboot my phone. For instance, I was getting ready for work at 7 this morning and had my phone in my pocket. While I was tying my shoes, my pocket held the power button down long enough to reboot it. To which a bunch of nonsensical texts came through from a couple of people, and apparently some of mine from prior days went out too. It was a little odd, to be sure.

So far so good. The only place I have had trouble is in Ocean City MD, but then again that is sprints cryptonite....

I've tried to be patient but it's hard to pay my Sprint bill month after month when I can barely use the phone for calling. I can only hope that they are actually working on the towers around here hence the crappy connection issues. It's been ongoing for so many months now, I've become very familiar with this AT&T iPhone4s that my work gave me. I much prefer my Evo and I wish I could use it more.

It is a good phone, I never drop calls and always have some connection (living in NY). But my 3g service is useless. In the past 14-15 days I used less than 200 MB of data because my connection is so Slow to do anything. It can search google pretty fast, but that's it. It takes a couple of minutes to load anything else.

I want this to be my last year with Sprint and defiantly with HTC (at least their software). The last 2 HTC phones I had were not the best (Evo 3d and 4G LTE). If it wasnt for the dev community on this phone, I would've went mad :D

I'm in Reno, NV. and the 3g is spoty at best and no LTE in the near future. Devs and WiFi are great at making a great phone on a crap-shoot network function.
