AC Question

Hi all,

I have a galaxy note 5.

I have noticed when using it that if i hold it too tightly or firmly or squeezeit the apps that are the edges of the screen will open. Yet I don't app the app or want to open the app. This happens sometimes with the keyboard too.

The iphone and windows phone never did this yet I hate those phones.

Is there a solution? Why does my phone behave this way?

Cheers

Not sure why this is happening to you but this behavior is the marketing slogan for HTC U11 ;)

Yep! That is one of my biggest gripes of Android. They have not figured out a way to ignore unintended touches. I compared my iPhone to my Note 5 and did the same touches and the iPhone ignored it while the Note 5 launched apps, moved apps to other screens and overall made it a pain.

I thought Apple patented a technology years ago that prevents unintended touches but I can't find anything on it.

It is so silly they reduce bezel size but offer no solution to unintentional touches. If you want to help unfortunately a case is all that reduces the issue.

BUMP. Any fix for this?

I dunno. I have my note 5 in an otterbox case and I've got no problem with this. Now..When I take it out of the case, that is a different story.

I don't know of a fix, I don't think there is one in Android. A case helps but that is it.

I've noticed this a few times when I've tried using my Note 5 without a case. I've also noticed that the phone will open an app or do other things when I get my finger is a little ways off from actually touching the screen.
