I have a VZW Qi wireless charger I use with my Note 3. If I put the V20 on it, just because it is a convenient stand where I sit, could it harm the charger or the V20? Of course I know it won't charge it.

The heat isn't good for the phone, but it's not going to shorten the phone's life unless you intend to keep it until you get old.

The charger isn't the least bit warm. Will it heat the metal phone somehow?

There is no real heat concern since it's not actually charging. You could also unplug it but again no issue if you don't.

Like I said.... Not a problem.
Since no voltage is being induced there is very little heat generated by being plugged in.
