Standard Android Text App

I've managed to discard the standard android messaging app from my captivate. Can't find it in the market. Anybody know how to retrieve this?? Also, when I do get it back, I'd like to put it on the bottom row of the phone (below the regular apps), how is this done?

you cant change the bottom four icons on the captivate, unless you use a different launcher. I use launcher pro, so i can change them.

If you've rooted, grab the mms.apk out of any Captivate ROM file, drop it into the /system partition, and install it from there. Use root explorer (make sure the permission match other apps when you install mms.apk) or Super Manager.

If you haven't rooted, look in the app drawer. It's still there.

Yes you can. Open the app drawer, push setting button, select view type then "customizable grid", then push settings again, click edit, and drag anything you want to the dock (bottom four icons). When you are done, push settings one more time, and select save. Then to get back to how it was, push settings one more time, then view type once again, and finally, alphabetical grid.
