I can no longer resist; the note 3 is too tempting. Ive always used a screen protector on my phones all the time because I just cant risk getting them scratched or damaged.
However, the note 3 is heavily reliant on the screen and the s-pen and so on, so will applying a screen protector hinder performance in anyway, especially in terms of the s-pen usage?
Im not open to using a flip cover..theyre kind of a nuisance. I prefer plain old bar phones

Thank you!

Nope. You will be fine with a screen protector. No hindrance at all.

Best thing to do is wait and see what other people say in reviews of different ones. I know a few note 2 ones created a lagged feeling in s-pen input. Some also were left with dents if you pushed to hard. Just gotta give it some time and read the reviews

My best answer is no. On the note 2 at least the screen protector was never am issue unless it was something like a zagg that has more of a rubbery texture to it. Otherwise I've used the spigen glass and the otterbox courtesy screen protector from the commuter series with no issues. Maybe somebody who has the note 3 may have different information but as long as you get a relatively smooth one you should be just fine! Hope this helps!

Thanks! just wanted to know based on the note 2 that if you got a top of the line screen protector, did it cause any noticeable performance difference.
My main concern is definitely the pressure sensitivity for handwriting and stuff. Will wait and watch!

Honestly with the gorilla glass 3 I don't think you need it. You can run your kegs on it and it won't scratch. I've had my s4 in my pocket with my kegs without issue.

Like I said earlier, I can't live knowing I might leave a mark of dirt or a fingerprint on the actual screen. The screen protector can rip apart for all I care lol

Is there a specific brand anyone would recommend?

Wipes right off. I wouldn't sweat it. I've never put a screen protector on any phone or tablet period. Never in my life had an issue.

You can run it over with a car, multiple times, and no scratches: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3mhAVC6cBA
