Hey guys, so I've noticed that when I'm on phone calls with my Nexus, there's a static hiss in the background. And its constant with any phone call I make, either with the speaker phone, or just the handset itself. There's always static on the phone call. Kind of like when you used to listen to cassette tapes and there is that tape noise in the background. That's what it is. My galaxy note 4 never did that. So I'm wondering is this some kind of incompatibility with AT&T because the Nexus isn't an official phone with them? Any tips would be greatly appreciated thank you!

More then likely a hardware defect as calls are digital now a days. So any static or hissing might be a result of poor signal processing or bad speaker.

I have AT&T and do not get a static noise. I am having trouble with holding an LTE signal but no problems with call quality.

Google is sending me a replacement because they said I should not have that background noise on phone calls. I will have to report back once I get the new unit probably in a week or so. In terms of LTE? I called AT&T and they talked me through the correct APN settings. I'm now getting LTE on the phone. But I did have to reboot it to make it start working.
