Steps To Get Trade-in Once Phone Has Arrived on VZW Pre-Order Directly

So once my SGN4 gets here today from the nice FEDEX man, what do I need to do to secure my Verizon Wireless Corporate and/or Samsung promotional trade-in credit?

I have a 32GB SGS4 that I am using now on VZW. I also have a SGS3 that I used on VZW. Both are in flawless condition....do I take either one to a VZW bricks and mortar store and they make record of trading it in and I receive some gift card later?

I'd prefer to trade in the SGS3 of course; as I think I can get a decent amount on Craigslist for the SGS4 32GB Black model with Samsung extra battery & Charger, plus the Seidio Surface case & Holster and the Seidio Extended Battery and Seidio Extended Sase & Holster and (3) VZW Screen protectors

What I thought I understood was this:

• 
  Pre- Order from VZW before 10/22 ( I ordered 9/19 right off)
  Receive the phone
  Go to a VZW store and turn in the phone you're trading in (not clear what qualifies or for how much $$$?)
  Get a trade-in credit as a gift card- probably by mail?
  Assuming it is less than $200, send that info to Samsung and get $(200 - trade-in received) = Samsung promotion from Samsung

Does this sound right folks? Am I missing something. I

Thanks. Turns out it's $45 for the S3 16GB, or $118 for the S4 32GB.

So will take the S3 to VZW store today after my Note 4 arrives. Trade the S3 in for $45.
Once I have all that, I send it to Samsung and Samsung sends me ($200-$45)=$155 and I have $200 off my Note 4.
Sounds like a plan.

I thought so too, but you wouldn't get your e-gift card in time before the Samsung promo is over.
