So, I have loved the experience on my Fascinate, but I can upgrade in September. Is it worth changing to 4G or switching phones? I need another AMOLED screen - I've been spoiled rotten. Thoughts?

I switched from a fascinate too a tbolt.
As far as the switch goes, my tbolt functions just as well, if not better, in a stock state than my rom'ed and rooted fascinate ever did.
4g is incredibly fast if you are in a 4g area.
I used to love the amoled screen, but found that I like regular LCD better. While the smiled has brightness, true blacks, and power consumption on its side, I did not realize how oversaturated the color palette is on amoled. The regular LCD is dimmer, but to me gives a much truer to life picture.
As far as jumping to a new phone, I say definitely jumps come September. Don't hesitate to try something other then Samsung. I think you will be pleased if you do.

Personally, as much as I love my Fascinate, when I have the opportunity to switch, I'm going with a 4G phone. I'll hold on to the Fascinate to have for my kids to use as a mini tablet, but why intentionally hold yourself back if a better option is out there?
The only reason I would hold off is because it's expensive to upgrade. But it would be nice to have better speeds. Then again, I have terrible service in my house as it is.

I'd love that. But having lived through Froyo, I'm such a skeptic about release dates (even if this is hardware and that was software). I'm interested in the G2...I wonder if I should get an LTE phone.
As far as the expense of upgrading, hold off until Black Friday and get in on some of those awesome deals. That is when i got my Fascinate for a buck.
And certainly go with the 4g. My daughter has a tbolt and it is quick as hell....
