Sticker on the back of Droid

On the back of the Droid there is a clear sticker which got caught/started tearing so I decided to remove it. After i removed it i noticed what looks to be Laser eched lines. Was the sticker protecting those for any reason? Should i go buy a replacement to cover it up? I'd rather leave it the way it is now. It looks better now not having that ragged sticker on the back.

I am sure everything is okay but I just wanted to verify.

Is it on the back of the part that slides up when the keypad is open? If so, that's just a protective sticker and can be removed with no negative consequences

I Think it actually slides open more easily without the sticker.

If you're interested, search around and look for these stickers that are made to exactly fit that area. They have nifty little android robots sort of peeking out. they're really cool. I'm on mobile and don't feel searching for it. But, you should find it easily.

For Jtdroid the stickers Prometheus is referring to are by Grafixpressions. They're of high quality, look GREAT and I was very pleased with the look on the back of my screen. I had the robot offset decal in lime green. Everyone loved it. Shipping is fast, price is extremely affordable and the stickers are durable because they're made out of vinyl. Sad thing is I no longer have mine because I had to get a replacement phone but will be ordering from them again. Here's the link specifically for the android.

*EDIT* I agree with Prometheus, the keyboard seems to slide out too easily with the original clear sticker removed. These stickers help to return the sliding of the keyboard to the original state as well as are durable enough to stand up to the wear. Had mine on for a few months and never saw any damage to the sticker.
