Sticking with Droid 1 - for now.

With the Droid 2 out, I must admit I have been tempted to jump ship to the D2. It's new, it's sexy, it's smoking fast, it has an FM Tuner, a better keyboard, bells, whistles. It's tempting. Chasing the new/shiny stuff can get crazy expensive though - and fast!

Still, with my "new every 2" contract coming due in September, I think my best option is to simply keep my powder dry and hold off for either the Droid Pro or, if the Droid Pro doesn't have LTE radios, hold off for an android phone that does do CDMA + LTE.

Thoughts/Opinions?

Same here. I have upgrades in October and November. I'm holding out for the next super phone.

Same here. My upgrade date is this month, but I'm waiting for LTE. Motorola let it slip that they have a 2ghz device slotted for december.

My guess is any phone they release will be under clocked to conserve batery. We may see a device capable of 2ghz, but its my guess it won't be clocked that way in its stock format. My guess is we will see a 1.2ghz or a 1.5ghz device way under clocked.

Who wants to charge their phone 3 times a day or more?

Hmm, didn't see that 2GHz item (where did you see that?).. I think that reinforces my choice to simply cool my jets for a bit.

My only/biggest concern on this is what big red will do when it comes to LTE data pricing. Hopefully don't see fit to do anything befitting a prison shower scene when it comes to prices.

The 2ghz Moto was a tweet from Boy Genius Report. A Moto CEo was was at an event when he dropped it. I planned on waiting anyway, but that gives me someyhing to look forward to.
