Still no family plan option on Google Play Music

It's been almost a week and I still only have the individual option for Google Music. Was this a slow release or is something up? I am very actively trying to purchase the family plan as I need Google Music on another account in my family. What's up with this. I am checking on my Note 5 with Verizon (not that it should matter) and I only have the individual option in the settings in the Play Music app.
 
You go to settings in Google Play Music and there's no option to switch from an individual to family plan?
 
I have the family plan option on my Nexus 6p, it's been there a good week or so
 
You have to hit the refresh button in the settings menu. The family plan upgrade will then appear.
 
Trust me. I've hammered the refresh button a ton. I called Google and they said it had something to do with the fact that I was a red subscriber and the music service was just an add on for the music so it might not work since the sign up process takes place in the music app and not the youtube red app. Seemed weird to me. They said I needed to un subscribe from red, wait up to 2 weeks for the process to fully complete on Googles backend, and then it should work.
