Still no Froyo OTA update for my Evo

I have NOT rooted my Evo or installed any previous Evo Froyo updates.

I still have not received my OTA update and manual checking for firmware updates still produces "No Firmware Update Available". I have tried power cycling my phone, updating the PRL and Profile but none of these has allowed me to download the Froyo Firmware.

Is there anyone else that has not received their OTA update? I am in Chicago and the two other people in my office already downloaded their OTA updates!

Thanks,

thats because it isnt the firmware update. its the HTC software update. let me know if that works!

youre not looking for firmware updates.

menu> settings> system updates> HTC software update> check now

I had to uncheck automatic updates then click check now for it to work on my wifes evo..

I am having the same thing... been waiting on the one click root method before I updated which is (well was out and will be again soon). I have a stock OS same as him. When I press "Check Now" it just sits there and says "checking..." endlessly with no OTA. Please help I do not want to have to flash anything...

did you click HTC software Updates or Firmware updates? you are suppose to get the update by click on HTC Software Updates. it will not show up under firmware updates.

i clicked software and even tried unchecking auto updates... regardless i get same issue just the constant "checking..."

Or you can stay at 2.1 so you can root and go custom rom ;) Seriously though, that's weird... I'd take it to Sprint.

they will just say hard reset it... cant i flash an official update.zip or something from googles servers or something and it just update the system and all my other data still be there like an OTA. can someone give me the link and instructions?
