I think I need to just buy a new battery. This one is still draining too fast after all my efforts to do what I can to reserve it's power. Where would you suggest I buy a battery from? I have looked at Amazon but many sellers get a lousy review that the battery goes bad too fast.

I doubt it's the battery, it's probably a weak cell signal or a lot of apps running in the background, that don't have to be running, but I like Anker and Hyperion batteries. I've used both - my 3 year old Hyperions are still giving me 100% capacity.

Another thing that kills batteries fast is discharging them too far regularly. Don't let the battery drop below 40% unless it's VERY important (like calling for an ambulance with a battery at 39% - if I needed an ambulance and my battery was at 5%, I'd still use the phone. Dead men can't buy replacement batteries.). Read The Care and Feeding of Lithium Polymer Batteries. Lithium batteries don't like deep discharge. (Lead acid batteries can take that, but do you really want a 10 pound battery for a cellphone?)
