Stock alarm clock issue

I just got my Droid Charge a couple of weeks ago and so far I've been really happy. However there is one issue with the stock alarm clock that I cannot figure out. I set the alarm before going to bed, however my 5 month old often wakes me up before the alarm can go off. I typically shut off the alarm so it won't go off, but it still does. Any idea what would cause this? I used the stock alarm clock on my Epic 4G prior to this and never had an issue.
