Stock browser gets really dark?

For the longest time, whenever I opened the stock browser the screen would darken by about 60%. It recently improved, but for various other reasons, I did a system-wipe and reset the phone. Now, however, it is back to going dark again. Any ideas why? Does this happen to anyone else? Any ideas for a fix?

If you have the power saving mode on, check out background color. If its checked its changing the color to save power in Internet. You can also change the brightness within the stock browser by hitting the menu key

Go to Settings>Display. Scroll down and un-check Auto adjust screen tone.
