Stock Email Issue?

I'm having an issue with the stock Email app and I'm wondering if anyone else is having it as well. Starting yesterday, whenever I would go to the regular email app to look at my account, nothing would update. I completely deleted the account, rebooted and the whole nine, then set up my account again. I tried POP and IMAP and still nothing was working. My folders were showing, just no emails. I was using it with my yahoo account. I decided to try setting up my gmail account with it too, and while it also recognized my folders, it couldn't pull any of the emails. Has anyone had this problem? Or does anyone know if Android or Yahoo or someone is having issues? It's very inconvenient to suddenly not be able to use what I've always been using as my email app.

i am no longer getting emails to my phone. I have to click on the gmail app and hit refresh. It just started about a week ago.

My Yahoo and Gmail are no longer working (started today) with the stock mail app, but an Exchange ActiveSync account is. I downloaded the Yahoo Mail app and it is working.

I downloaded the yahoo app too. It works well. I'm just frustrated that suddenly I can't use the stock app. I am able to use gmail on the stock app now so it must be a yahoo thing. Maybe some server errors.

I am having the same issue, I can send yahoo mail from the stock app, but am no longer able to receive mail. Everything was working fine a couple of days ago. Please help - i don't want to use the yahoo app.

I was having the same problem about a month ago. I was also having a problem with the phone recognizing peak sync schedule times I had setup. I have my phone setup to sync every 15 minutes and/or when I open the app during peak time (7am - 10pm). During off-peak time it is set to only sync manually.

The phone did not seem to recognize when I was in peak Tim and when I wasn't. I was confused because it had worked great for about a month. After some research I found that the task killer I had installed after a friend's suggestion was actually the root of my problem. After I removed it, the.phone started to work perfectly again.

This may not be your problem, but I thought I would pass along the info from my experience

I too was/am having this issue. But what is weird my wife has the Droid 2 Global and she had no problems. I thought it was something I had done so I too deleted and added back and it still does not work in the stock email. I then read where K9 mail was pretty cool so I got it from the market and started using it. It works pretty good so far. It is getting all my emails....yahoo and gmail. Not sure what happened that the stock email no longer works but until it is fixed I will be using k9 email.

Having the same issue here. Was working great until this morning. My Gmail works, EAS works, only the stock app and access to Yahoo! seems to have **** the bed...*sigh*

Same issue here see all my folders and I no longer have any working yahoo mail. Sidenote my ymail acount works fine with identical settings. Already contacted yahoo in regard to this and got a stupid response that involved how to use there 3rd party app. So awaiting an escalation response from next tier of support probably be the same automated email though lol.

Still having issue with the stock mail app. Grabbed K-9 from market and that is working fine with yahoo.

Well I hate to say it but it's good to know that this is happening to other people and not just me. There's clearly an issue with Yahoo's Mail Servers and I'm sure they'll have it fixed at some point soon. I don't really like having the yahoo mail app on my homescreen, so the sooner I can get rid of it, the better.

U could try using Maildroid instead of stock. They just updated with a "fix" for yahoo issues that my wife was having. Knock on wood but my emails (yahoo and personal IMAP account) have been pushing through like clockwork. I use Maildroid Pro by the way. I found it to be faster than K9 (especially with Yahoo mail) and I like its layout better. Plus, the developer responds within 24 hours to any question which I love. A new big update and UI makeover is around the corner too! You could try the free Maildroid version instead to see if works for you. Good luck!

I'm having the same problem. At first i thought i screwed something up. Just rooted my phone yesterday and after setting everything back up i noticed my yahoo mailbox was totally empty and i haven't recieved any new mail since. Sure would be nice to know what is going on with it.

Same here. Been noticing these issues since 6/22 and really frustrated with it. Yahoo Mails don't seem to be coming in, although Gmail works just fine. Hope someone fixes it soon.

I added a yahoo email account I use infrequently to the stock email app and it worked like a charm!!!!
I verified I had the same server settings for this account and the account I am having issues with.
One works and the other doesn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cleared the mail app data under settings/applications and created the two accounts again. I got the same exact results - one works and the other doesn't.

So, has anyone had any change in their circumstance? I thought I had it fixed once last night, but it must have been a fluke. The only reference with Android support I can find anywhere on the Yahoo! site involves using their Mail app. I finally broke down and installed it, but I don't like it at all.

Any new ideas anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I can get mine to send using stock Android mail and my yahoo account. However, simply no matter what settings I try it will not receive. Gmail works fine. It is just the receive part of my yahoo that seems messed up.
