Stock Froyo 2.2...how do I root this??

Bottom line, if you upgraded to .3 or .6, you broke root if you had it, and we will have to wait until 2.2 is re rootable. End of story right?
I mean ive only had my Evo for 2 weeks and I understand this stuff, its not that hard. I think... ha.

On a different note, I broke my root when I got the .3, but I still have my super user app in there even tho it doesn't work anymore.
How do I get that off, the uninstall is greyed out...

The only way I've found was to re-root and take it out when you're rooted...the re-unroot

#1 - Correct.
#2 - It's stuck in /system/app. Only way to get rid of it is to use the RUU and wipe the whole phone clean.

I have no problem with a full wipe, will the RUU that updates from .3 to .6 do the same thing? Maybe I could kill two birds with 1 stone is what I'm thinking..

Yep. That's probably the best way to do it.

Thanks...I'll try to remember that. Did you bother to read the rest of the thread or just automatically hit quote and use this as your first post.
