stock HTC calendar app being stubborn

So the app is being stubborn or im just an *****, either way I need help...I use Google calendar and dislike the HTC calendar. I've finally turned notifications for the HTC calendar app but whenever I create an event on Google calendar it appears on the HTC app and vice versa. Any idea on how to completely disable the HTC calendar app so it's not using up memory when I never look at it? You can't disable it. Thanks in advance!
