Stock HTC One M7 need root but want to keep everything the same

I have a stock ATT HTC One M7 that I want to root so I can delete all the data sucking apps that are pre-installed from ATT. I like HTC Sense and want to keep the phone just the way it is. I would like any upgrade to performance but don't want to get crazy with and modify everything. Any suggestions?
