I've always used swiftkey keyboard but decided to use the stock one but I don't see no arrow keys. Is there a setting I'm missing or what?

I live by those arrow keys and SwiftKey has been the only keyboard that I've found that has them.
I don't believe that the Samsung keyboard has ever had them.

The Samsung keyboard has a cursor control gesture (if you don't use swipe typing).

Stock keyboard has some hidden menus. <I> brings up the arrow keys and other functions

Well, it don't work for me. Do it have to be Gboard on a Samsung?

Yes, if you want to use that type of keyboard, just download Gboard from the play store. I use Gboard all the time.
