Stock. Message not working

Other notification works but the stock text message does not. I've reset uninstalled And reinstalled and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I wonder if the problem is caused by the phone briefly turning itself on when I get a message?

Found the solution.

Writing my solution just in case someone else is having same problem.

I had no lock screen from setup settings cause I was using widgetlocker from app store. But once I changed the no lockscreen to something else it started working.

Having the same problem. What did you do can you explain should I deactivate lock screen. Have normal swipe up lock screen and then the pattern lock. Please help!
Updated: Solved it by changing the lock to same pattern lock on the GG. Thanks
