Stock Music app lag since Lollipop

Hi,

am I the only one with this strange issue, where every time I listen to music and have the display off, the counter that should increment the time elapsed by 1 second just freezes?

I play a track, turn off the display, 3 minutes later I turn it on and it only shows like 1 minute of the song has elapsed.

Wondering if you guys have any solution to this. Factory reset did not help.

No issues with the music app, using lollipop.
