stock music player question

I noticed that when driving and taking a call the stock music player pauses the song and starts back where it left off when the call ends.

However, if I place a call the song goes back to the beginning. I also had the evo 4g LTE prior to switching to the S3 and the evo did it as well.

I had the original evo and this did not happen. The stock player paused in the correct spot on both income and outgoing calls.

Any ideas?

anyone know how to solve this. it's pretty annoying especally when I am listening to a DJ set that is 100mins and is only one track.
