Anyone have the stock optimus S firmware I could flash to my phone or a procedure to do so? I switched through so many roms and my nandroid backup of the stock is gone. I tried to flash someone else's nandroid v8 software on this forum onto my phone but the data connection does not work. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Can't tell, I can't get past the Sprint ID crap, it says to install one and when i do there is no network. Total POS.

If you want to return to stock, you can try the post telemike mentioned, which is also in my signature.

However to fix your data problem, you will probably need to do a ##786# reset (which requires your MSL). Only do that type of reset with the stock LG recovery installed and an LG-based ROM or your phone might hang.

You can also perform that type of reset from the CWMA recovery menu, but again you should have an LG-based ROM.

Safest thing to do is to revert to stock as in the thread above, then call sprint, ask for tech support, tell them your data is messed up and update profile won't work so you want to do a ##786# reset but it is asking for MSL.

They'll just give it to you.

My wifes phone did the same thing after the update,
do you know what the last official version you flashed.

Are you running a custom recovery

Every thing is stock now, and still no go, how do you enter in the ##786#? I can only do the emergency dial or install a sprint ID so I'm stuck

Press the menu button, then select dialer, then press ##786#.

I just called tech support and they "reprovisioned" my phone over the air and now it works! Going to take a nandroid backup of this ASAP!

In general, it is good to create a nandroid backup, however your provisioning is stored in NVRAM and isn't backed up with a nandroid backup.
