Stock root possible

I want to do a stock root without using any roms and was trying to see if that was possible. I want it so I can wifi tether and also I heard you can install setcpu and change it so both cores are used at the same time. I know you need to unlock the boot loader before root but is there any stock roots out there?

After you unlock you can flash a custom recovery(amon ra works best) and a root file. I was stock rooted for like a month.

That or you could flash a stock rooted rom from recovery. Same thing.

To mess with cpu stuff you will have a flash a new kernel. Someone else can tell you about this cause I have never messed with it...

Forcing both cores on does nothing but waste battery. I've forced both mine on, and it did nothing more than a performance governor. When I just leave it alone, the second core is only used 1% of the time, and I see no degradation of performance. You would gain way more performance flashing a debloated stock rooted rom than forcing both cores on, but that's my 2 pence.

I would also recommend the stock rooted rom as well. Unlocking is going to wipe you anyway, so might as well start with a fresh, clean slate (I would also get a debloated one... unless you need all that stuff).

There is also a thread just a bit down with almost all the roms for the rezound. The stock rooted ones usually don't have a name, and just say stock, rooted... and a version number.

You need to install the kernel with EVERY Rezound ROM. Some come with a kernel installer and some do not. Make sure to read the install instructions before installing the ROM to find out.
