kinda sucks. its s minimal weather app. no radar. I have my own preference i would rather use and i certainly don't want two of them on the home screen.
I like Android but the weather widget has to go. Google, we can handle that ourselves. Unless, you've bought Nova launcher on the side and are pushing people there.
I actually do own Nova Launcher and with Pixel launcher crashing on me six times now in the three days owning this phone and the weather widget issu I'll probably install it and use that instead. ashame I have to do that.
If your taking about the small weather icon in the top right it is buried in the Google now settinngs. You have to hit the menus in the top right and click on customize select weather and notification updates. If that doesn't do it then it might be further in the settings then I can remember but I know it's in the Google now settinngs somewhere. I'll see if I can find the article I used in the past.
Alright found it. Open Google now and select weather icon in the top left. Click the hamburger menu in the left and select add to home screen. Step 3 of the article below
Thanks for the input, @jleakey, but that menu option only adds a 1x1 shortcut icon that opens up Google Weather -- it's not the same as the Weather/Date widget (well, it's not quite a widget if we can't get rid of it ...).
