Stock vs C Stock Apps or Switch?

I tried to run stock with the launcher but the lack of gestures to pull down notifications was a deal breaker so I downloaded Nova. I'm still trying the stock messenging app and keyboard but I'm about to switch keyboards as the Samsung keyboard isn't accurate and I find the layout a bit slow for me. I'm not sure about the messenging app as I do want to pick up a Gear S3 so I might stick with it as it seems it plays better with the watch.

What are you all doing at this point?

You actually can turn on the gesture to swipe down to open the notification panel.

Yes the pull down notification gesture is there and works great. I use it all the time. Used it on my Note 8 as well.
