How do I delete like skype and city id is hate these apps they always open by themselves in am rooted so is there a way to do this....

Use Root Manager to rename the CityID.apk, Skype.apk, ect. to CityID.apkback or .apk.bak.

They are in the /system/apps directory.

Root explorer is available in the market and is about $3 but worth every penny.

make a nandroid backup...

then get titanium and do a full backup...

then delete the apps through titanium....

live a happy and fulfilling life.

awesome, i had titanium all this time and didn't know it can uninstall apps for you! i have uninstalled these and have had no issues so far:

3G Mobile Hotspot
Backup Assistant - this doesn't even appear anymore as an option in the accounts & sync menu, YES!
Footprints & Widget
Friend Stream & Widget
Peep
Stocks Widget
Skype
Twitter Widget
VZ Nav
Visual VM

I currently froze the News & Stock stuff since i don't use it. Was going to test this out before I uninstall it.
I kept City ID because it is still working for me even though the trial is over. And yes I checked my account online and I am not paying for it.

But if you delete w/o an easy way to get back - don't you risk missing any future updates.

I remember seeing posts about not getting the OTA because not all the apps were there. Wouldn't renaming them be easier then removing them. You can always rename them back, if your Nandroid is corrupt, your F'd

Whats the point, none of them cause any harm.
Seems rather stupid, especially dumping the 3G hotspot and backup assistant.

If you're rooted, the 3g hotspot is redundant, and there are plenty of pre-loaded apps I got rid of like Facebook, CityID, etc. It would be nice if they were available in the Verizon Android Market, and then I could download what I want, (hello Skype) but to bake them into the ROM is a mistake. Even Google has realized this mistake and are breaking their apps out into the market. It's a much more elegant solution.

Agreed that it would be nice to choose (I hate having no choice like how the Socialists want it to be..) but in reality the said apps do zero harm.
