So my nexus 6p was stolen from my front door before I even got to opening it. Is there anyway to track or disable it since it's never been open? Really upset as I pre-ordered and waited so long.

I would contact FedEx and let them know. You may be able to ask Google to blacklist it but not sure.

Google doesn't require signature? Weird.. When I buy from Verizon they always require signature

Dude, sorry to hear that. Frickin scumbags!

Definitely contact Google. I'm thinking they s/b able to track the ESN/IMEI to your order.

That truly sucks!! Some people are just trifling! Has the same thing happen to me with my nexus 5. Contact Google as I believe they can blacklist the IMEI # and have them send you out a new one

i didn't notice it didn't require a signature as I assumed something $600 would require one. Calling google now.

not really prone to it.. i have my amazon stuff always on front but its a corner lot so I guess it can be tempting for scumbags to take something not theirs.

No they don't. When I ordered my Moto X 2014 - that required a signature. However, my Nexus 6p was just sitting in front of my front door when I came home from work on Wednesday.

To the OP do what others have already stated - call Google and have the IMEI blacklisted. That will serve that thief right.

Well the Google says they'll investigate. What sucks is today is my bday. Was hoping to open a nice present when I got home. Oh well time to get drunk.

I was surprised too that no signature was required for such an expensive item. The Fedex drivers are also pretty clueless by me. He drove by my house three times looking for my address. I finally went outside and when he started driving by me again I waived at him and he asked me where my address was. I said how about looking at the mailbox which has jumbo numbers on it. Clueless. He handed me my phone with no verification that I actually lived there. Kinda scary.

I have also had deliveries made to my neighbors by mistake, I would check with them, maybe your phone is a house away!

No i saw someone take it on my cameras. :/ well they were fast. I caught a blur and only saw that they were wearing a orange hoodie.

That is correct, no signature required....unless u can make that change on the FedEx page before they load on truck. I think 2 options are signature required and also hold for pick up at FedEx. I know why they dont, cause 75% of the stuff would never get delivered if they needed signature for all their deliveries they make so I can see FedEx's view....Home deliveries always make me nervous. Sometimes I just have things delivered to my job. That sucks and hope u can get another one asap.

Hopefully they will issue you a refund. When I bought my note 3, I signed for it without checking and apparently the package was opened before I received it . when I opened it there was no phone inside. Contacted Verizon and they issued me a full refund and reset my upgrade

Sorry to hear that - what a bummer! Hopefully it was a good birthday other than that. :) Keep us posted on what happens. I'd love it if Google were able to track them done.

Update: Google refunded me and they said they'd refund me and then open an investigation. I then called back to see if they could actually blacklist it and they said they are investigating. Hopefully it can't be used. I also posted a CL ad with my imei. Hope they get busted.

Glad to hear you're not out the $$

Maybe FedEx also does this, but UPS packages can be shipped to a nearby UPS Store for p/u instead of left at the door.

My delivery required a signature. I'd double check to see if FedEx was supposed to require one and didn't.

Google/Ingram Micro is not requiring a signature. At the same time, as a "safety precaution", they will not allow the phone to be picked up from a FedEx office/Kinko's, they require the phone be delivered to the shipping address. It almost seems to me they are asking for the phones to be stolen. I'm guessing that not requiring a signature is a money issue, they don't want to pay the extra.

No they don't which is weird. You would think in this day and age, any kind of tech should require a signature. Leaving it out in the open is too much of a risk.
