Stop Popups

Ever since loading Flash Player, I keep getting pop up ads and it is eating away at my battery life. How do i turn off the popups.

Blockers of ads in traditional media formats have been removed, although they are available elsewhere. Adware/spamware blockers are apparently exempt.
