Stop sent text reply notification sound and vibrate

I have been trying to find a way to stop my messages app from making a notification alert for every message I reply to. It is confusing and annoying. I went to the messaging app settings and turned off hear outgoing message sounds, but it still gives me a notification alert of me sending a text through quick reply. Why does it do this anyway? Of course I know I sent a text, but I don't want a notification for it. I hope I'm not the only one. BTW I'm on the newest beta.

Which messaging app are you using?

Messages? Hangouts? A third-party app from the Play Store?

Best guess is that it is an Android O beta bug. You might want to report it.

Other than that, you might try another messaging app. I use Hangouts but also like Evolve SMS.

Mine does this too. It's a DP3 bug as far as I can tell. I submitted a bug report and they said they already addressed it in DP4.
