Stop Update ? - Non Rooted

Hi folks,
Here is my situation. My Atrix is completely stock except for some apps from the market. I signed up for the beta group to install the update. During the beta period I downloaded the update. I've decided against updating at this time, but the nag screen comes up every hour. I've seen a few threads about stopping that from happening but they all seem to be on a rooted phone.

So, is there a way to stop the update and remove what I downloaded without rooting? It's driving me nuts, but honestly my phone is working very well and I kind of hate to update because of that.

Any advice for stopping the nagging?

If I absolutely have to update to stop the nagging I have another question -- Is the update that I downloaded during the beta period the same update that is available to the public now? Or, do I have the beta version?

Just thought I'd wrap this thread up.
I updated because apparently it was "mandatory".
Now the nagging has stopped.
Unfortunatley my phone was great before in all aspects, and now the battery life is horrible.
