Stopping pictures from autosaving to my gallery

It seems pictures from FB chat are autosaving to my gallery.. Anyone know how to stop this?

Go to the messenger app settings and uncheck save images to gallery.

I have a Samsung s8 but i have a problem, whenever i keep posting a picture on like instagram or facebook, it keeps saving them to my cameroll.
