im getting ready to root my nexus and i had a question. i play a lot of games, and games are what are taking up the most space for me. if i root and use stickmount with my flash drive, will i be able to install or transfer the games to my flash drive via otg? ive heard of people using apps2sd on other devices, is this an option for the nexus 7, or is it even nessecary? The reason I ask is that I've been hearing that moving apps is not supported with stick mount. Hopefully,i just don't know what im taking about. Thanks!

Alrighty, I'm unlocked and rooted now. All my apps are restored and titanium backup is installed. I ordered my otg a couple days ago, so I still have a few weeks before it comes in. I really hope this works. All I want to do is be able to install apps and games onto external flash with otg. I hope this is possible. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, apps can NOT be installed on external storage regardless of root status. Your best bet would be to save all possible media/etc to the external device and use internal storage solely for gaming. I haven't actually tested this, but I will try to give it a shot sometime soon.

alright then, thanks for the response. I guess worst case scenario I could always use Titanium Backup to save my game saves.

That's what I do. When I'm done with a game I use tibu to back it up, upload via Dropbox then move it off to a nas drive with my PC. If I every wanna play it again I just copy it back and restore it.
That method works great to 'sync' up your saved game progress between devices too.
