Storage lost

My tablet says I have 1.8 gb of free storage yet on disk explorer it says 2.8gb

How do I delete the extra

I have double as much as Samsung is telling me and it is only an 8 month old Samsung galaxy tab a 10.1 so it shouldn't be faulty all of a sudden

I moved my games to ad card recently and didn't install anything and no there is not enough storage to move them back

Don't worry I have gained it back spontaneously

It's hard to say which is more "correct" -- the system storage menu or Disk Explorer. See what happens if you wipe the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28352

Is it safe it looks like what you do for factory reset it definitely won't delete anything?

Excuse me if I step in.

It will delete cached system files, but nothing that the phone cannot rebuild when it needs to, and quickly. It will not delete any of your personal data. I've done it myself many times with no problems. Some say it's good regular practice whether or not you're experiencing trouble of any kind; and the same for app cached data. Any corrupt system or app files are thus cleared.

It's actually different from deleting the app caches, but it sounds like it didn't help anyway.
