storage space issue

My wife's Evo internal storage is almost full. It turns out that her mail app has 173 mbs of data. I deleted the account. Data still there. To contrast my mail app data is 3.7 mbs and I have way more mail. Any ideas? Why so much data? Why wont it go away?

I'm having same issues, deleted programs, and still can not update phone. Keep getting update unsucessful....hmmmmm

Did you try instead of deleting account, going to settings, applications, goto the mail program and deleting data?

sorry to say, the only way I have found to get rid of this is to factory wipe the phone. We have 200 EVO Shifts at my company, and Ive had a few of them do this. Somehow Mail gets some corrupt data, and thats it. Your done. Ive looked everywhere for a fix, and have found nothing. Hope this helps

I agree with you. I had a similar issue and the only way to fix it was to do a factory reset. It seems that's the only way.
