"Storage" taking up 46.8 GB on space on my android phone

I have a Samsung s21 Ultra and the systems is taking up 46.8 GB.

That seems like an obscene amount. Can anyone direct me on how to address this please.

How much storage does your phone hold? If it's 256GB+, 46GB isn't all that much as it uses the base-10 system..

In any case, the more storage you have on your device, the more storage in System is going to be used. That's just how it works, there's nothing to address. You can see here for more folks realizing the same thing on their Samsung devices.
