Story suggestion - OEM/carrier report card on Android OS updates

One thing I'd like to see AC do on a regular basis (I suggest a yearly basis) is an OEM/carrier report card based on their delivery of Android OS updates (both in terms of how quick the updates go out and the length of time that they support OS updates for devices past and present).

Once people head out of the Nexus environment, it becomes a lottery on whether an OEM and/or carrier will deliver particular Android OS updates. Consequently, some OEMs and carriers are worse than others.

An annual report card on the issue would help shed light on this particular topic. Given that Google is rumoured to be moving towards a yearly Android release cycle, this topic is only going to become even more important.

Resurfacing this suggestion thanks to this story about how monthly security updates are unlikely to happen for most phones. This, IMO, makes such a regular site feature more important than it used to be.
