Straight Talk

Hi everyone, I'm going to be switching from Verizon to the Straight Talk Sim card program and need some input. I currently have a Droid 3 and love it. If possible I'd love to keep it and use it with Straight Talk, I don't believe it will work though. If I can't keep the Droid 3 I'd like to get a Samsung Galaxy S II. So my question is with a little extra work can I get the Droid 3 to work. I'm not a super nerd, but my phone is rooted and with some proper steps and direction I would be willing to give anything a try. Thanks all!

I realize that this thread is old but you can unlock the phone. And use the att comparable straight talk sim and it'll work with 3g. With the patch and I believe you gotta flash the bell radio but im not sure. Good luck!
