So I brought my own phone (Verizon) to Straightalk a week ago. I switched over via the internet and ported my cell number from Verizon. I have had multiple issues in the last week and Straighttalk has been nothing but a headache. I have called numerous times and can't anybody seem to help me. I cannot make or receive calls, and when I try to dial out, it drops my signal all the way down and disconnects the call. I can barely send/receive texts--sometimes it takes hours for them to send or for me to get them. The data just drops and says searching for service randomly. I went and bought a cheap Straighttalk phone to see if the issue is that maybe it was because I've got an old Note 5 (but I love it), but when I switched to the new straight talk phone, it still did the same thing. So I then switched back to the Note 5 because if it wasn't going to work anyway, why would I keep a cheapy phone.
Has anybody had this problem or do you think it could be an issue with porting my number from Verizon?
