Strange Camera Problem

Hello. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4. It is running android 4.3. I have this occasional problem where when I take a picture with my galaxy S4, the picture will just be lines. I will include a picture to let you know what I mean by that. My phone is rooted, however, this problem has happened before it was rooted, so that is not the problem. This does not happen all the time. What can I do to fix it? Thank you.

It's pretty clearly data corruption. Are you saving the image files to internal storage or an external sd card?

I am saving to an external sd card. Also, it is weird when you click on the photo and there is a preview thing on the bottom of the screen, the picture looks fine. It only looks like this when it is big. How can I prevent this? Should I start saving to my internal memory instead or even get a new sd card? Thank you.

Test the pictures on the card in another device if possible.

I had pictures on a card that looked similar, but very "blocky" like a bad cable TV picture, and I thought the card got corrupted. But when I put the card in a different phone the pictures were all fine.

Is it a SanDisk card? There is a known issue between Samsung and sandisk. SanDisk does warranty their cards for life. Call them and they'll send a call tag for the old card and replace it with a new one with up to date software.
