Strange Contacts Issue

So sometimes when I go to contacts to find someone they only show up when I search for their name. When in the phone and I start dialing some names don't show even though they have phone numbers associated with them, and again only can be found by searching in the contacts app.

Anyone having this issue? I believe I had it at times with the Note 5 as well.
