I'm running stock rooted EC05 for now.
A couple days ago, I noticed that "updater" was running, and my battery was dead by lunchtime. This morning, I realized that I didn't put back the keyboard patch, and noticed that CWM was gone. Back to stock recovery. I rebooted, and verified that SU and root specific apps were still intact, and working as expected.
Odin'd the CWM (purple) TAR file back, loaded into CWM, realized I forgot to download the keyboard patch to the SD card. Rebooted back, and it was the blue stock recovery again! Going back to ODIN to reflash CWM, and here is to hoping it sticks.
The "update" or whatever updater was doing, didn't change the OS (All would be forgiven if I got an official OTA GB) that I can tell. I don't really go into CWM unless I have to, or just feel like making a backup for whatever reason.
