Strange Issue

I don't know exactly how to explain my problem.... I use Nova Launcher on my Note 8 and I can open an app, let's say email. I can minimize an app and then turn off my display. When I turn the screen back on, it automatically opens the last app I had open. For example, open email, minimize email, turn off display or let it time out, turn display back on, email app is open.

Does everyone's do that or have a turned something on that I need to turn off.

I have toyed with Nova, but never long enough to recall specifics.

Is Nova set to default? This should only happen if you have no default home set.

I thought the same thing too, but I've tested it with Action Launcher too and it does the same thing.

It looks like it is something to do with certain apps. If the last app I opened was Mailwise, it will open to the home screen, but if it's Textra or WhatsApp, it will open to them.

This is exactly why I say that I have fooled around a bit with Nova (and other launchers) but always revert back to stock. I have neither the time nor the energy to waste configuring a launcher.

Nova Prime is superior to all factory launchers and doesn't take any more time to set up. It's really a no-brainer

But, it adds nothing that I want or need and does not do some things that I do want. Just not worth the trouble.

So I tried using TouchWiz and it didn't happen. Reinstalled Nova and it started again. So it's not just Nova, but the stock launcher works fine.

Oh well...
