Strange MMS issue

The first 2 days I had my EVO I could send and recieve picture messages no problem. Then yesterday a friend of mine tried to send me a few pictures, and what happened was I would get the notification on the top left of the screen that would say "new message" which is what a MMS text is titled. So I drag down the notification bar, click on the message, and it opens the conversation I was having with that person, however, the new message with the picture attached isnt there! Like as if I never got the message at all. The sender assured me she sent it, but no matter what I did to make it appear I couldnt.

So I asked my other friend to send me a picture, and It came just fine. So Im thinking, ok it must be a problem with my other friends network/and or phone. But, today I was writing this person a message, and I had the keyboard in landscape mode. When I was done writing the message I hit the key to close the keyboard, and as soon as I did that the picture that the person sent me yesterday appeared in the text area, and I was able to tap it and open it. However due to the stupid short default time for picture slideshows I didnt save it in time. The picture disappeared, and once again the actual message with the picture attached is still not visible in the conversation area.

I have no idea what is going on here, I tried powering off my phone and taking the battery out for a few mins, but that didnt help any. I called sprint, they supposedly "reset" the phone, that didnt help either. Has anyone else had this issue and no what to do about it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow this is crazy, after playing with the phone a whole bunch I was somehow able to retrieve the MMS messages. What I found out was the messages that were sent to me were now in the very beginning of the conversation field, which was started days ago. So in reality I recieved the messages yesterday, but for some reason my phone put the messages at the very beginning of the conversation which started 2 days ago. Very strange. This only seems to have happened with this particular person, so I cant definitively say its some sort of weird problem with my phone/network.

So if anyone has experienced a similar problem where it seems like they are missing MMS messages that they got notifications for, simply scroll up to the very beginning of the conversation and you might find them there.
