Strange problems all the sudden

I don't know what happened lately because I never have problems with my phone, but yesterday I noticed my weather channel app force closing, and today my phone froze. After I pulled the battery and restarted it, it started ringing from a number in my contacts but showed the number instead of the contact. It wouldn't let me answer and it kept ringing and never went to voicemail. I pulled the battery again and restarted it and it seems to be ok for now. Has anyone else had this happen out of the blue?

That can happen to any phone... I've experience force stop in the middle of doing things.. freezing, etc. These are all caused either by a corrupted file/app(s), or just an HTC sense glitch.

If you're running froyo 2.2 - make sure to check the last updates of the app(s) that you're using. You should only install apps made for 2.2 or more. Most lower versions of apps tend to cause some of these sudden force stops, sluggishness, and freezes.

The force closing only started after the latest update of the Weather Channel app. The other stuff has never happened before.

Then that might be the culprit. Uninstall and reinstall to see if that would fix the issue.
