Stream Google Music to home theater?

OK so I have Google Music successfully running on my Xoom, Droid x, and my wife's OG Droid. I can currently stream my iTunes from either my computer or my wife's to various airport express modules around my house. I am trying to break my dependence on iTunes. I want to be able to stream Google music from my xoom to either an airport express or PS3 if possible. Is there an app that will allow this? I want to be able to control the music from my xoom or phones. I have already tried skifta on my xoom to my PS3 and it works fine but you cannot acess any media that isn't already loaded on the device. Am I going to just have to wait for an air port express like device to be released by Google to gain this functionality? Thanks. Oh and Google music is awesome!

I had thought if that but from what I read it has poor sound quality and limited distance. Thungston box essentially directly steams the audio and the xoom or phone acts like a wireless display and controller. Thanks for the idea though:)

Umm I know that airsync on double twist allows for streaming to a ps3 and I know that somewhere down the line they are going to try an add access to google music but that is not a solution for right now. With the brand newness (forgive the poor grammar) of Google music it may be a bit of a wait but, I would check the beta projects Google has going because they are hoping for full on Android automation so they are probably working on it and other developers will chatch up.

Yep I'm going to wait I'm sure Google and developers are going to some up with some pretty sweet solutions.

I have a bluetooth music gateway and the quality is good. Can't compare distance but my place is 2000 square feet and gateway is in center by my system and I can use it from Most everywhere. I 2 google music accounts with 20,000 songs on each account. So streaming for me is huge. You might want to at least try. I have a 7.1 system so I know what you mean about quality. I listen to music a lot.

Derek,

I am trying to do the same thing. The audio is good for the most part, but I have a very limited range (less than 10 feet) and signal drop-outs when anyone walks between the receiver and my Xoom (or EVO). What are you using as your bluetooth music gateway?

Thanks,

I am using the Motorola dc800. It is big and ugly but it works great.

Unfortunately, Google Play Music on the PS3 fails because of an incompatible web browser. For example, I can login with my G+ account on the PS3 using the URL:

play.google.com/music/listen#start

Google responds by trying to load the music library, then throws an error message about the incompatible browser--and includes download links to versions of Chrome, IE, MAC, Firefox, etc. Of course, these versions are not yet compatible with the PS3 Java/Linux OS layers.

That said, streaming using your phone as a remote control would be easier than messing with the browser (e.g. you could change songs/albums/playlists from another room).

Regards,
Eric

Hi having simular problems. I have a HTC one, I can stream direct to speakers or tv from music stored on my device using the default music player but there seems to be no way to stream to speakers or tv from the Google music app.

Any suggestions.
